This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner sought information from the authorities under the Right to Information Act, about which one Periasamy and Palanivel is said to be aggrieved. Apprehending attack by them, the petitioner has given a representation to the Police and has filed the present petition for Police protection. 4.In a case of this nature, this Court cannot issue a blanket order of Police protection as prayed for by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner. However, as and when there is an imminent threat, liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the third respondent and give a complaint. On such complaint being given, the third respondent shall call both the parties and conduct enquiry and ensure that no physical harm befalls the petitioner.
