PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 483 of the BNS, 2023 praying to enlarge the petitioner on interim bail for 10 days in Crime No.26 of 2025 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Puzhal Police Station, Kolathur, Chennai Police Station, Chennai.

2. The petitioner was arrested on 13.01.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 309(4) and 311 of BNS, 2023 in Crime No. 26 of 2025.

3. The petitioner's father passed away yesterday, the petitioner is presently confined in the Central Prison - II, Puzhal Chennai. The Jail Superintendent, Central Prison - II, is directed to immediately release the petitioner with necessary escort, so that, the petitioner can attend his father funeral which is to take place today evening. The petitioner shall be permitted to be present in the funeral spot for three hours, and shall perform his religious ceremonies, thereafter, the petitioner shall be brought back to the Puzhal prison. It is open to the petitioner herein to apply for regular bail before the Court below on Monday itself.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is directed to intimate to the Jail Superintendent about the passing of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is accordingly disposed of. 17.01.2025 dsn 2/4
