ORDER

[Order of the court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner who is the husband of the detenue Sathiya, aged about 32 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 19.08.2015, branding his wife as a "Black Marketer" under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980 [Central Act 7 of 1980].

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the detention period has already been over and that the petition has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement in the petition to that effect.

In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
