O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this petition is to direct the respondent to conduct a thorough and proper investigation in Crime No.637 of 2018 on the file of the respondent, registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that on 13.11.2018, the petitioner's brother's wife (sister-in-law) sustained burn injury and thereafter she died on 13.12.2018. In this regard the petitioner's brother lodged a complaint in Crime No.637 of 2018 before the respondent police. Since there is no progress in the investigation, he came out with this petition to conduct a thorough and proper investigation

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation is almost completed and the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police have only to file final report.

4. Heard Mr.C.Rajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry in detailed manner with the complainant in Crime No.637 of 2018 and other witnesses and to file a final report within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
