This writ petition has been filed for direction to the second respondent to consider and pass order on the representation dated 03.12.2001 for restoration of seniority in the cadre of Inspector of Police for the year 1995-1996 and thereafter consequential inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2006-2007 by considering the representation dated 05.08.2010.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. 3.
In view of the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
