This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to give police protection for the petitioner.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent.

3.It appears that there is a suit is pending between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent in O.S.No.1493 of 2015 on the file of the Principal Subordinate Court, Coimbatore, in which, an interim injunction has been granted in favour of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection for implementing the order of interim injunction. In Sri La Sri Siva Subramanyananda Swamy Vs Sri La Sri Arunachalaswamy [1993(1) MLJ 274], a Division Bench of this Court has held that the civil Court can itself https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

grant such police protection and therefore, liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the civil Court and seek police protection based on the aforesaid judgment.
