Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned Demand Notice dated 13.10.2021 issued by the third respondent which was received by the petitioner on 20.10.2021 towards Water and Sewerage Tax issued by the third respondent as unconstitutional, void, illegal and arbitrary and to quash the same and to direct the respondents to re-determine the Water and Sewerage Tax pertaining to the property situated at Old No.15, New No.28, United India Colony, I Main Road, Kodambakkam, Chennai - 600 024.

ORDER
It is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there has been a downward revision in the property tax and therefore there has to be a corresponding downward revision in the Water and Sewerage Taxes under the provisions of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1978. 2. Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed by giving liberty to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. The 2nd respondent shall thereafter pass a fresh order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 3 months thereafter.
4. It is made clear that the petitioner shall produce all the records to substantiate that the property tax has been reduced by the Chennai Corporation. No costs. Connected Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 24.01.2025 arb Page No. 3 of 5
