The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 02.01.2016.
2. The petitioner is doing concrete works in his residence, which is situated at No.197/12, Redhills Main Road, Shanmugapuram, Chennai for the past several years. On 02.01.2016, at about 2.50 p.m., the petitioner received a phone call from the cell no.812200075 from an unknown person and he introduced himself as Egappan and he threatened the petitioner that the petitioner should vacate from the premises otherwise he will be finished of by setting fire and he also abused the petitioner in filthy language. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 02.01.2016 before the respondent police and the respondent police has issued CSR No.3 of 2016. But, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.
3. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that after receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, a detailed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
enquiry was conducted and thereafter, the complaint was closed. He has also produced a copy of the closure report.
4. Since the complaint given by the petitioner was closed, nothing survives in this petition.
