ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Writ on hand has been instituted to assail the minutes recorded in the meeting conveyed by District Monitoring Committee.

2. Resolution perse would provide no cause for institution of writ proceedings.

3. Learned counsel for the 4th respondent furnished a copy of the enquiry notice issued by the District Collector dated 19.01.2026, which would show that petitioner is called for to participate in the process of enquiry to put forth his contentions/defense. Therefore, the present writ petition is premature.

4. Government issued G.O.Ms.64, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, dated 08.02.2022 forming committees to deal with the encroachments in water body and other Government lands. Therefore, the

District Monitoring Committee headed by the District Collector has to deal with the complaint regarding the encroachments.

5. The action was taken in the present case, in pursuance to the directions issued by this Court in WP.No.36016 of 2025, dated 10.10.2025. That being the factum, petitioner is at liberty to participate in the process of enquiry scheduled to be held on 28.01.2026 in the office of the District Collector, since enquiry notice has already been issued to the petitioner.

6. With the above observations, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed. (S.M.S.,J.) (C.K.,J.) 28-01-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order GD To
