ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to the 1st respondent to conduct an enquiry and further to conduct a fresh public auction for the removal of the trees in the Thittakudi to Angoor Road, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2025.
2. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 2 to 4 removed and auctioned the roadside trees of the highway project without issuing any public notice or conducting a proper public auction, thereby causing prejudice to the petitioner and loss to the Government. 2/5
3. Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 would submit that a public auction was conducted and concluded and that the notification of the same had been affixed on the Notice Board of the 3rd respondent. However, they are willing to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner.
4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
