This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to grant a house patta to the petitioner's house in Door No.4/216-9 measuring 21/2 cents comprised in S.F.No.386/2Pc, Harijan Natham, Malaipalayam Village, Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore District by considering her representation dated 31.12.2020.

Heard Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

Mr.G.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that on 19.02.2021, an enquiry has been completed and only the final proceedings had to be made. He added that owing to the notification of the general election 2021 for the State Legislature, the final proceedings could not be passed.

The second respondent is now required to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 31.12.2020 within a period of eight weeks from 06.04.2021, which is the date of general election.
