This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the revision filed by the petitioner on 02.12.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for the cancellation of patta that stands in favour of the 4th respondent.

Heard M/s.A.Bharathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for Respondents 1 to 3.

The petitioner is claiming right over the subject property through a registered Sale deed dated 22.01.2007. The further case of the petitioner is that the patta originally stood in the name of the 2/5
petitioner in Patta No.1488. Subsequently, the patta is said to have been transferred in the name of the 4th respondent. The same was challenged before the 2nd respondent and the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 20.09.2022 rejected the claim made by the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a revision before the 1st respondent which is kept pending. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the revision petition filed by the petitioner dated 02.12.2024 after affording an opportunity to the 4th respondent and final orders shall be passed on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. 3/5
