PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to enter the correct Date of Birth of the Petitioner as 23.08.1995 in her Secondary School Leaving (SSLC) Certificate for the Examinations held in March, 2010 vide Register No.286923 TMR Code No.A368714 dt.26.05.2010 and in the Higher Secondary (HSC) Certificate for the Examinations held in March, 2012 vide Register No.324051 TMR Code No.G296771 dt.22.05.2012 Group Code No.103 & in June, 2012 Register No.114805 TMR Code No.G511013 dt.03.08.2012, within the time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission. Hence, by consent, the following order is passed.

2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondents to enter the correct date of birth of the petitioner as 23.08.1995 in the school records as well as in the school certificates. The petitioner has, in fact, made a representation by way of e-mail dated 03.01.2024 for the same relief. 2 / 4

3. Mr.Stalin states that the competent authority to consider a prayer for amendment in the school records as per G.O.Ms.No.177 dated 23.12.2021 is the Chief Education Officer, Chief Educational Office, 500, Raja Street, Town Hall, Coimbatore - 1. Hence, he is suo motu impleaded as R4 in this Writ Petition. Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the newly impleaded R4 as well.

4. Since the appropriate authority to consider the representation will be the newly impleaded R4, the petitioner may address R4 in this regard. Such representation, if filed within two (2) weeks from today, will be disposed by R4, after hearing the petitioner and considering the records, if any, produced within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of such representation.
