Respondents PRAYER:- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents, namely, 1.The Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai, Ripon Buildings, Chennai - 600 003 and The Zonal Officer, Zonal Office No.VII, Corporation of Chennai, Valluvar Kottam Backside, Nungambakkam, Chennai - 600 034, their men and subordinates to give due promotion, earned leave benefits, fixing the pay correctly on completion of 20 and 30 years of service on par with the other workers to the petitioner having employment number is 664790 in the Corporation of Chennai and pass such further orders.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to direct the respondents, to give due promotion, earned leave benefits, fixing the pay correctly on completion of 20 and 30 years of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
service on par with the other workers to the petitioner, having employment number is 664790 in the Corporation of Chennai.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel representing the Chennai Corporation placed before this Court, the proceedings No.PD.Na.Ka.P7/41443/2018 dated 28.12.2018 issued by the Accounts Officer, Chennai Corporation granting retirement benefits of the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner agreed to the same and received a copy of the said proceedings. However, learned counsel requested this Court to fix a time limit for settling the retirement benefits to the petitioner.
4. Considering the above submission of the learned counsel for both the parties, the respondents are directed to settle the retirement benefits, as per the aforesaid proceedings dated 28.12.2018, to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
