Mr.M.Jothi Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the fourth respondent to cancel the Patta issued in favour of some other persons in respect of his lands, under the Updating Registry Scheme and consequently, to issue Patta in his favour, based on his representations dated 12.05.2015 & 20.07.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said request has not been considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the fourth respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 12.05.2015 and 20.07.2015 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, if no order is passed so far, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the fourth respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
