The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his claim for allotment of a Housing Plot for Tamil Nadu Secretariat Staff in Okkiam-Thuraipakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kanchipuram District.
According to the petitioner, he is presently working as a Section Officer in Public Works Department, Secretariat, Chennai and he is a member of the Tamil Nadu Secretariat Association (TANSA), Secretariat, Chennai from the year 1993. He has further stated that the Government in Revenue Department has allotted a vast land in Madambakkam, nearby Selaiyur, Tambaram, Chennai and a piece of land has been allotted to various staff members working in Secretariat through Madamabakkam Secretariat Staff Housing Co-operative Society and they have constructed and are residing in it. Likewise, the Government has allotted a piece of land in Okkiam-Thuraipakkam, Chennai through Okkiam-Thuraipakkam Secretariat Staff Housing Co-operative Society and staff are residing in it.
The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not having a piece of land or house in and around Chennai as well as Tamil Nadu. Hence, he made a representation dated 15.07.2015 to the 1st respondent seeking allotment of house through OkkiamThuraipakkam Housing Co-operative Society. It is his case that he opted for allotment of house as early as in the year 2000. Since his name is considered by the respondents so far, the petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to consider his claim.
Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that the petitioner has sent a representation only to the 1st respondent and that he may be directed to send a copy of the same to the 2nd respondent also, for consideration.

In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to send a copy of his representation to the 2nd respondent herein and thereafter, respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation seeking to consider his claim for allotment of a Housing Plot for Tamil Nadu Secretariat Staff in Okkiam-Thuraipakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kanchipuram District, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four months from the
date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
