Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to prematurely release the petitioner namely Mr.Thameem Ansari S/o.Jahir Hussain under the guidelines of the 1st respondent in No.17013/37/2021-PR dated 10.06.2022 to grant special remission in pursuance of Petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2024. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to prematurely release the petitioner in consideration of his representation dated 02.01.2024.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced copy of the written instructions given to him by the Superintendent of Prisons, Central Prison - I, Puzhal, dated 20.02.2024,

in which, it is stated that the petitioner is said to be released from prison on 22.02.2024, after including 91 days of remand set-off and granting 799 days of Remission marks under the Remission Rules. 3.In view of the statement made by the respondents, the grievance of the petitioner seems to have been redressed and hence, no further orders are required in this writ petition.
