O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the claim made by the petitioner to grant compassionate appointment in the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.

The case of the petitioner is that the father of the petitioner was working as Maintenance Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board at Tiruvallur. He died on 21.01.2015 leaving behind the petitioner and a daughter. The mother of the petitioner pre-deceased her husband. 3.

The petitioner submitted representation on 10.10.2017 to the respondent seeking for compassionate appointment along with no objection given by his sister and also legal heir Certificate. Since the same has not been considered, the 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate direction.

Heard, Mr.G. Punniakoti, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Janakiraman, learned Standing counsel for the respondent.

Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and limited relief that has been sought in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 10.10.2017 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of representation dated 10.10.2017 and a copy of this order. 6.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
