O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent herein to consider the representation dated 19.12.2023 and to transfer the Patta No. 15 in favour of the petitioner and also to rectify the mistake done in the measurement of the property as 2700 sq.ft. (251 sq.m) instead of 2109 sq.ft. (196 sq.m.) comprised in Grama Natham old Survey No. 361/1(part) as per Patta No.15 Grama Natham, new Survey No. 517/4 situated at Amma Pettai Village Nellikuppam Tiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2023, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible and conduct enquiry in the manner known to law after issuing notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners of four boundaries of the subject property and interested parties/rival claimants/objectors if any, if already not issued and dispose the petitioner's representation in accordance with law if already not disposed of. The said exercise shall be completed within a period as stipulated in the Circular No.R1/2005632/2022 dated 17.07.2023 issued by the Commissioner of Land Administration.

4. With the abovesaid direction, The Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
