Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 31.05.2023. ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 31.05.2023.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made a representation before the 2nd respondent for UDR Patta correction and also prayed to change the extent in the revenue records as per the petitioner's document. Subsequently, on summon, the petitioner and the 4th 2/7
respondent appeared before the 2nd respondent. Though the petitioner produced the relevant documents, the 2nd respondent refused to grant the prayer sough for by the petitioner by order dated 02.05.2023. Against which, the petitioner has made an appeal dated 30.05.2023. Subsequently, he also made several representations to dispose of the appeal. However, the same have not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.
3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.S.Sugendran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the 3rd respondent. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 4th respondent, notice to the 4th respondent is dispensed with.
4. Since the 3rd respondent/Police is nothing to do with the disposal of the appeal pending with the 1st respondent, this Writ Petition is dismissed as against the 3rd respondent/Police. 3/7

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since this writ petition is filed seeking a simple writ of mandamus to dispose of the appeal dated 31.05.2023, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the 1 st respondent issue notice of hearing on the appeal to the petitioner and to the 4th respondent herein and also to the interested parties/rival claimants/objectors/any other parties involved in the appeal as the case may be and after giving opportunity of hearing to all the parties, dispose of the appeal and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself as against the respondents 1, 2 and 4 are concerned. Insofar as the 3rd respondent is concerned, this Writ Petition is dismissed as stated above.

7. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
