ORDER

The petitioner apprehends threat to his life and property from the second respondent. In this connection both the petitioner as well as the second respondent had earlier approached the Civil Courts. The petitioner has also obtained an order of permanent injunction restraining the second respondent herein and others from interfering with his property. According to the petitioner, there was continuing disturbance from the second respondent, and hence the petitioner had given a complaint to the first respondent on 24.02.2017 seeking police protection and since there was inaction on his complaint by the first respondent, the petitioner has preferred this Criminal Original Petition.

2. The petitioner has the benefit of an order of permanent injunction from a Court of law and the first respondent is duty bound to look into the matter, and if, necessary offer police protection.

3. Hence, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 24.02.2017, seeking police protection, in the light of the injunction order granted in favour of the petitioner's father in O.S.No.108 of 2014 dated 10.10.2014, on the file of the District Munsif Court, Polur, and pass necessary orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
