J U D G M E N T

[Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.] This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is directed against the order dated 22 September 2015 in HMOP No.324 of 2013 on the file of the Family Court, Coimbatore, dismissing the Original Petition filed by the appellant praying for a decree of divorce.

2. When the appeal came up for hearing on an earlier occasion, the parties have arrived at a settlement. The appellant agreed to pay a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs only) towards permanent alimony to the respondent and to the child. The parties have also entered into a Memorandum of Compromise dated 17 September 2018, indicating the terms and conditions of the settlement.

3. The appellant pursuant to the Memorandum of Compromise dated 17 September 2018 produced Demand Drafts bearing Nos.785798 and 785799, dated 25 September 2018 drawn on State Bank of India, Kannappa Nagar Branch, in favour of the respondent viz., J.Ezhilarasi for a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

R.Oviya, the child born in the wedlock of the appellant and the respondent amounting Rs.15,00,000/-.

3. The Memorandum of Compromise dated 17 September 2018 is taken on record. There shall be a decree of divorce in terms of the Memorandum of Compromise. The Memorandum of Compromise shall form part of the decree.

4. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of as indicated above. No costs.
