..Respondent(s)

directing the respondents to issue individual pattas to the petitioner for the area int heir occupation by considering the petitioners representation dated 24.11.2025.

For Petitioner(s):

Mr.D.Baskar For Respondent(s):

Mr.D.Ravichander,SGP For Respondents Order W.M.P. No.2755 of 2026 is ordered subject to the payment of separate court fee.

2.This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to issue individual pattas in favour of the respective petitioners for the areas under their occupation, based on the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3.Earlier, some of the petitioners had approached this Court seeking for the very same relief. In the said writ petition in W.P. No.48305 of 2025, by order dated 17.12.2025, this Court had directed the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2025 seeking for issuance of new pattas in their respective names for their respective properties.

4.It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2025, which is the subject matter of W.P. No.48305 of 2025 was disposed of by the second respondent on 12.12.2025 itself even prior to the order dated 17.12.2025 passed by this Court in W.P. No.48305 of 2025. The order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent rejecting the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2025 has also been placed on record. 5.Since the petitioners' request for grant of pattas has already been rejected on 12.12.2025 itself by the second respondent, the question of reagitating the issue through this writ petition by these petitioners, which includes some of the petitioners, who had filed W.P. No.48305 of 2025, does not arise. If at all the petitioners are aggrieved by the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent rejecting their request for grant of individual pattas, the petitioners will have to challenge the same in the manner known to them under law.

6.Learned counsel for the petitioners would now submit that none of the petitioners were served with the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent.

7.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has served a copy of the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent to the learned counsel for the petitioners in the open court today. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would dispute the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners were not served with the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent. 8.This Court is not going into the dispute with regard to the date of receipt of the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent. Since the second respondent has already rejected the petitioners' request for grant of individual pattas as prayed for in this writ petition, necessarily, the petitioners will have to challenge the order dated 12.12.

2025 in the manner known to them under law. Since the representation of the petitioners for grant of individual pattas has already been considered and negatived by the second respondent, this writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioners to challenge the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the second respondent rejecting the petitioners' request for grant of individual pattas in the manner known to them under law. No costs.
