ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order, 1982 and 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in

Crime No.196 of 2025 registered on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. This is 2nd anticipatory bail petition. Earlier anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner was dismissed on 02.01.2026 in Crl.O.P.No.34971 of 2025 on the following reasons:

"5. Considering the fact that a huge quantity of rice was involved in the alleged possession and transportation by the petitioner, and though the petitioner is not having any previous case, this Court is of the view that, at this stage, if anticipatory bail is granted, there is a likelihood of the petitioner indulging in similar activities."

3. Considering that there is no change in circumstances and I am not inclined to reconsider the earlier order. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
