ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to appoint the petitioner as the licensed auctioneer for Ranipet Division, under Pawn Broker Act, 1943.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.12.2022 before the respondent seeking his appointment as licensed auctioneer for Ranipet Division. Subsequently, on the instruction of the respondent, police verification was done and a report was also submitted. Inspite of the same, the respondent has not considered the representation till date and hence the petitioner has come before this court.

3. Mr.G.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be disposed of on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this court.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.12.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
