Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2017 and to remove the cage like structure affixed around the statue of Bharat Rathna Dr.B.R.Ambedkar at Melpattambakkam Town Panchayat in Cuddalore District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Though the petitioner sought for a direction to dispose of the representation dated 08.04.2017 with a consequential prayer https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to remove the structure already put up, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he would make alternative suggestion, keeping in view the visibility and accessibility to pay homage to the great leader Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. 2.Considering the above said submission, the writ petition stands disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the first respondent in this regard. As and when such a representation is made, the first respondent shall consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the said representation. No costs.
