Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to lay the electric cables under service connection No.147 laying in Sivan North Veethi Veilankanni Keezhvelure Taluk Nagapattinam District in view of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.10.2021 which were received by the respondents on 07.10.2021.

ORDER

Mr.Abul Kalam, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and is armed with sufficient instructions enabling final disposal of this writ petition even at the stage of admission. Hence, by consent expressed by both

learned counsels, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the officials of TANGEDCO to lay the electric cables under service connection No.147 laying in Sivan North Veethi, Veilankanni, Keezhvelure Taluk Nagapattinam District. He has filed a representation dated 21.01.2021, wherein the same prayer has been reiterated, as before me.

3. On instructions, Mr.Kalam, learned Standing Counsel states that the request is pending on account of an objection by the brother of the petitioner one Mr. Raj Kumar. However, insofar as the respondents are, admittedly, in receipt of petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2021, it is incumbent that they dispose the same having regard to the submissions of the petitioner as well as Mr. Raj Kumar, brother of the petitioner and any other person who may be necessary for the disposal of the matter.

4. Let notice be issued to the parties and speaking order passed on representation of the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from today, in accordance with law.
