This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 701 days in preferring the appeal against the judgement and order of conviction passed by the learned Special Judge, Puducherry in Spl.S.C.No.7 of 2021 dated 22.12.2022.

2. This Court is convinced with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of the petition. Since the delay has been satisfactorily explained, the delay is condoned and this petition is allowed.

3. Registry is directed to number the above Criminal Appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the same in usual course.
