This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.02.2014.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that adjacent to his property is the natham porambokku land, in which, one Karupathal was granted assignment by the Government, only to an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

extent of 0.02 cents, but, by way of settlement deed, dated 31.12.2012, she executed a settlement deed in favour of her son to an extent of 0.03 cents in S.No.312/1. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the respondent police. But, the said complaint is pending without any action. Hence, he has come forward with the present petition.

4. The complaint appears to be a civil dispute between the petitioner and the opposite party. Hence, no positive direction can be given to the second respondent-Police to register a case on the complaint given by the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in a manner known to law.
