ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2023 for conciliation proceedings as early as possible.

The grievance of the writ petitioner is that he was employed in the second respondent college in the year 1987 and he was later promoted as Lab Instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering on a salary of Rs.11,750/- per month including all allowances. Due to Covid19, the second respondent college did not pay salary and other benefits to the petitioner. The second respondent college was running till May 2023 and the petitioner worked continuously. In June 2023 the college was closed without issuing any notice and without following the due process of law. Therefore, the petitioner and other staff raised a complaint on 13.07.2023 before the first respondent for conciliation proceedings. But the first respondent did not take any action on the complaint. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 19.12.2023 to the first respondent which was also not considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that this Court may be pleased to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2023 within a time frame.

4. In the circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 19.12.2023 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
