Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2023 and conduct the enquiry against J8 Neelankarai Police Station officials 5th, 6th and 7th respondents for the cruelty committed against the petitioner and let the petitioner live in her house peacefully.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 24.12.2023, wherein, the petitioner has made certain serious allegations against respondents 5 to 7 who are police officials.

2.When the matter came up for hearing on 30.01.2024, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor sought for some time to take instructions in this case. Accordingly, the matter was posted for hearing today. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the complaint given by one Sarathselvam, an FIR came to be registered in Crime No.8 of 2024 on 18.01.2024 by the CCB-II, Chennai. In this FIR, the petitioner has been arrayed as A2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case involves cheating, criminal breach of trust and forgery.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will workout his remedy in the manner known to law insofar as the pending criminal cases are concerned. However, the petitioner was subjected to untold cruelty by the police and this needs some enquiry by the higher officials. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, it will suffice, if a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent to deal with the representation/complaint given by the petitioner dated 24.12.2023 and conduct an enquiry and take a decision, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
