ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first and second respondents to issue appropriate directions to the third respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioners in proceedings Na. Ka. No. 525 / 21 / E2 dated 05.08.2021 of the third respondent within a limited time frame as deemed fit by this Hon'ble Court, preferably before the superannuation of the petitioner on 31.12.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. A perusal of records revealed that the petitioner was served with a charge memo dated 05.08.2021 consisting of four charges. Further, on perusal of the counter revealed that the period of suspension was extended for a period of 60 days from 23.11.2021. On 10.03.2022, the third respondent appointed an Enquiry Officer to conduct enquiry as against the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings as against the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
