2020-03-10Honourable Mr Justice S.M. Subramaniam1 pages

CMA.No.165 of 2016 and CMP.No.1383 of 2016 S.M. SUBRAMANIAM, J.

The CMA is listed under the caption 'for being mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents made a submission that in paragraph 6 of the judgement dated 10.03.2020 in CMA.No.165 of 2016, the interest for which the respondent is entitled has not been stated. Thus, the respondent is unable to get interest in respect of the award amount.

3. In view of the facts and circumstances, it is made clear that the respondents 1 and 2 are entitled for interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of filing of the claim petition till realisation of the award amount. Thus, the interest is to be calculated and accordingly to be settled in favour of the respondents 1 and 2 as expeditiously as possible.

4. The registry is directed to carry out the necessary corrections and issue fresh order copy to the respondents.
