Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner representation dated 09.07.2021 on merits and in accordance with law within a stipulated time. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to consider the representation of the petitioner.

2. The representation of the petitioner is in reference to Mudis Bazaar, Soliar Dam Bazaar and Roti Kadai Bazaar villages, three among 74 villages in and around Valparai Municipality, where no drinking water facility, drainage facility and toilet facility have been provided. It is only for the reason that the villages are not coming under the Valparai Municipality, and therefore, the request could not be considered.

3. Taking into consideration the nature of the representation, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and to take appropriate decision therein within three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs.
