Respondents (Respondent Nos.4 & 5 impleaded as per order in M.P.No.2 of 2014, dt. 21.4.2016 and MP.3/14 dt. 16.6.2016) Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5 forbear from granting permission / licence to any political or non political parties to conduct the private meeting or any other meeting or any other entertainment in the place known as Rountana just opposite to 2nd respondent police booth and nearby MMDA Colony, Arumbakkam, Chennai-106. (Prayer amended as per order in M.P.No.3 of 2014 dated 16.6.2016).

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner does not want the public meeting to be held at the designated place, which has been used for quite number of years. The grievance is that the buses are stopped in advance causing inconvenience.

2. The learned Government Pleader on the basis of the counter-affidavit filed on behalf of respondent No.2, states that the traffic flow is continued, though permissions have been granted from time to time. The said statement is taken on record and the writ petition is closed. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2014 is also closed.
