Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2017 seeking to appoint the petitioner in a permanent post of Helper in the respondents Tamil Nadu Supplies Corporation with attendant service benefits. ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Ms.Girija, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd and 3rd respondents.
2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though he has joined the service of the 2nd and 3rd respondents as a seasonal helper on 19.01.2010 onwards his name has not been included in the list for making them permanent. In this regard he has also submitted a representation dated 20.02.2017 praying for his permanency in the post of Helper in the service of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation and inspite of receipt and acknowledgment, so far no orders have been passed. Therefore, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Ms.Girija, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd and 3rd respondents.
4. Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in the representation or in the writ petition, directs the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
