The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the offence punishable under Section 3(1)(x) of SC/ST (P&O) Amended Act, 2015, in Crime No.1 of 2017 on the file of the respondent, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the Trial Judge, to consider his bail application on the same day on merits. 2.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioner surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail.
