O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 27.08.2024, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Mohan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents.

3.The petitioner had given a representation to the 2nd respondent to carry out rectification of certain errors that had crept in the FMB sketch. The same was rejected by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 31.07.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the 1st respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 1st respondent has not taken up the appeal and decided the case on merits. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the appeal/representation filed by the petitioner on 27.08.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
