ORDER

The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent authority to give police protection and permission to conduct Cultural Programme in D.Kumarapalayam Arulmigu Sree Thiruswami Bhagavan Temple Festival, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District, on 30/03/2017 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2017.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 06.03.2017 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct Cultural Programme in the event of D.Kumarapalayam Arulmigu Sree Thiruswami Bhagavan Temple Festival, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District, scheduled to be held on 30.03.2017. However, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, this petition.

3. Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct "Cultural Programme", learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has raised no serious objection.

4. In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.03.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra Programme in the event of D.Kumarapalayam Arulmigu Sree Thiruswami Bhagavan Temple Festival, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District, scheduled to be held on 30.03.2017, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "Adal Padal Nigazhchi / dance programme" in the name of "Cultural Programme".
