O R D E R
This Civil Revision Petition is preferred against the order dated 06.12.2021 of the Rent Control Appellate Authority (VII Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai) in R.C.A. No. 499 of 2018, which again arose out of the order dated 25.04.2018 of the Rent Controller directing eviction of the tenants in R.C.O.P. No. 2804 of 2008 on the file of the Court of Small Causes, Chennai.

The tenants, who suffered concurrent orders of eviction both before Rent Controller and Rent Control Appellate Authority have preferred the revision.

In the meantime, the landlords have laid a suit for arrears of rent of about Rs. 59 lakhs and that is pending in O.S. No. 8170 of 2021 before the IV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai.

During the course of hearing, the tenants decided to hand over vacant possession to the landlords on their own volition on or before 31.12.2022. An affidavit has also been filed to that effect and the same is hereby recorded. The tenants have also agreed to pay the contractual rate of rent till their eviction.

The Civil Revision Petition is accordingly disposed of. It is further clarified that the order now passed will not have any bearing on the pending suit in O.S.No. 8170 of 2021 before the IV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. No costs. Connected C.M.P. is closed. 07.03.2022 nv To
