Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent namely the Chief Engineer (Distribution) Tamil Nadu Electricity Board & Distribution Circle, Vellore Region, Vellore to dispose of the appeal pending before him dated 25.2.2017 within a stipulated time.

ORDER

The petitioner was terminated by order dated 17.2.2017. Aggrieved by that, he has preferred an appeal on 25.2.2017 before the Chief Engineer (Distribution), Tamil Nadu Electricity Board & Distribution Circle, Vellore Region. As the petitioner has lost his livelihood, he has sought for early disposal of his appeal. It is also stated that the termination order has been passed violating all the principles of natural justice.

2. Mr.M.Fakkir Mohideen, learned standing counsel, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought a reasonable time to dispose of the pending appeal.

3. This Court, without going to the merits of the matter, hereby directs the first respondent to consider the pending https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appeal of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
