This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to refund the deposited amount of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) before the learned Judicial Magistrate No-II, Chengalpet, to the credit of Crime No.42 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, vide order passed in Crl.OP.No.20526 of 2014 dated 07.08.2014 to the petitioner with accrued interest.

2. The complainant police submitted that since the matter was settled by paying the amount to the depositors by the accused, the respondent police dropped the action in FAD No.01/2022 and the learned Special Judge/Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kancheepuram District at Chengalpet also confirmed and recorded that "further action dropped" and as on date no case is pending.

3. Hence, the amount, which was deposited by the petitioner is ordered to be returned to her within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order on proper identification.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered as prayed for.
