O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to provide protection to the petitioner's life and property with the aid and assistance of the Central Authority.

Heard the petitioner as party in person, Mr.J.Madana Gopal Rao, learned Senior Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and Mr.PH.Aravind Pandian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.I.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that he is facing some threat as and when he visits Chennai, since he has made some complaint against the Police Officials. Therefore, he seeks for protection for his life and property, as and when he visits Chennai.

4. Needless to say that if the petitioner faces any threat to his life or property, it is always open for him to make a complaint in writing before the concerned Police Station and if any such complaint is filed, the same shall be inquired into on merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, a blanket direction, as sought for by the petitioner, cannot be issued. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed with the above observations. No costs.
