ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed praying to direct the respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family.

2. Heard Ms. Mathuvanthy Mathavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. D. Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. It is seen that on the complaint given by the petitioner P. Sanjay Kumar, a regular case has been registered in FIR No.13/2018 on 05.01.2018 in Kuniamuthur Police Station for offences under Section 447, 147, 294(b), 323 and 506 (i) of IPC against Deepa Sivamani and 8 others and the investigation is in progress. Whileso, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for police protection, since the accused in Crime No. 13/2018 are threatening him and his family. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Ms. Mathuvanthy Mathavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that she has enough evidence to show that the accused are harassing the petitioner.

5. On instructions, Mr. Raja submitted that the petitioner and others borrowed money from the State Bank of India, Avinashi Branch, by producing fake documents and in connection with the same CBI is investigating the matter.

6. Taking into consideration all these aspects, no direction as prayed for by the petitioner can be granted. However, the police shall ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner from the accused in Crime No. 13/2018.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
