This writ petition has been filed for direction to the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking to prepare the seniority list.

The petitioner is working in the second respondent Society as Office Assistant for a period of 32 years. As per the circular of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, the second respondent Society classified as 'A' class Society. The second respondent Society fixed the cadre strength for seven employees. Now five employees alone are working. The petitioner is the senior most employee working in the Society for the past 32 years without any promotion. As per the circular issued by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in circular No.28/2022 2/5

dated 09.11.2022 thereby directed the societies to amend the transit bye law and prepare the seniority list. Even then, the second respondent did not take any steps to prepare the seniority list and publish the same. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation on 15.12.2023. 3.

Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to prepare the seniority list and publish the same in the light of the circular issued by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in circular No.28/2022 dated 09.11.2022 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
