PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records pertaining to the proceedings in C.C.No.17972 of 2005 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Chennai and quash the same in so far as the petitioner is concerned. For Petitioner : No appearance For Respondent : Mr.S.Karthikeyan Additional Public Prosecutor

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records pertaining to the proceedings in C.C.No.17972 of 2005 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Chennai and quash the same in so far as the petitioner is concerned. 2.When the matter was called on 09.03.2020, there was no representation for the petitioner and therefore, this Court directed the Registry to post this matter today, i.e. 11.03.2020 under the caption "For Dismissal". Even today also, there is no representation on the side of the petitioner. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that in this case so far eight witnesses have been examined and only the Investigating Officer is to be examined. The case is posted to 24.03.2020 for examination of the Investigating Officer.

4.In view of the same nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
