Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2021 made for deferring the opening of schools for the classes between I to VIII standards due to Corona pandemic situation in the Puducherry state within a time frame, as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court and till such time, not to open the schools in the State of Puducherry.

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2021 made for deferring the opening of schools for the classes between I to VIII standards due to Corona pandemic situation in the Puducherry State.
2. Mr.Mustafa, lerned Special Government Pleader, on instructions submits that in Puducherry, schools are opened with effect from 04.01.2021 with all precautions considering the pandemic situation and it is also made clear that it is optional to the parents to send their children to schools and the schools are also following all the System Operating Procedure (SOP) in a strict manner and there is no difficulty in conducting these schools in the past one month.
3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of and it is optional to the petitioner to send their children to the school. No costs.
