ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 30.12.2015 for absorbing them as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

permanent employees of the Electricity Board within a reasonable time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. The prayer sought for by the petitioners is wholly untenable in law. The reason is, the petitioners, who claim to be contract employees working in the office under the second respondent viz., Superintending Engineer (O & M), Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Gobi Distribution Circle, Gobichettypalayam, should establish their case and claim only before the authority viz., competent Authority under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
