[Made by S. M. SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] The contempt petition has been instituted to punish the respondents for their wilful disobedience of the order dated 29.07.2025 passed in W.P.No.27476 of 2025.
2. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that pursuant to the directions of this Court, the revenue authorities conducted an inspection and survey, identified the encroachments and issued notices under Section 131(1) of "the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21/94)" [hereinafter "Panchayats Act" for the sake of brevity]. After affording opportunity to the encroachers, all further enforcement actions shall be carried out by strictly following the procedures contemplated under the Panchayats Act and the Rules framed thereunder. 3. In view of the above submission, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
