Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned order of selection to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Geography) for the year of 20112012 and consequently direct the respondent to declare fresh results by implementing the 20% reservation to the candidates studied through Tamil medium of Instruction, in the appointment to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Geography) revised for the year of 2011-2012, by considering the merits of the petitioner.

ORDER

The writ petitioner has filed the writ petition challenging the impugned order of selection to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Geography) for the year of 2011-2012 and consequently direct the respondent to declare fresh results by implementing the 20% reservation to the candidates studied through Tamil medium of Instruction, in the appointment to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Geography) revised for the year of 2011-2012, by considering the merits of the petitioner. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner participated in the selection post of Post Graduate Assistant 1/3

(Geography), and he was called for written test and he was selected in the same. Again he was called for certificate verification vide Memo No.6923/AA1/2012 dated 02.08.2012. The petitioner claimed that he is the only person eligible in the list of candidates appeared for certificate verification out of the 2 persons called under the category of Tamil Medium Education. However without following the due process mandated under persons have been selected and reservation of 20% for the persons studied under Tamil Medium Education has not been given. Challenging the said impugned selection process the present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the above said prayer.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner filed this writ petition challenging the impugned selection process conducted by the respondent, they had not followed the mandatory provisions of the reservation for Tamil Medium and, therefore, the petitioner should be considered under the reservation quota.

4. The facts in issue are not in dispute. Though contentions have been raised by the petitioner, however, it is borne out by record that the petitioner had not impleaded the persons who have been selected as as party respondents in this writ petition. Such being the case, the present petition is liable to be dismissed for misjoinder of parties.

5. For the reasons aforesaid, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. -s/dAssistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar jrs 2/3
